IFREMER and CSIRO are co-organizing the “Ocean and Coastal Nutrients Workshop”. It will be held at IFREMER in Brest (France) from 16 to 19 September 2024.
This workshop follows on from the INIV international oceanographic voyage (https://wp.csiro.au/iniv) which took place in June 2023 in the Southern Ocean along the WOCE-JGOFS¬GO-SHIP¬CLIVAR SR03 hydrographic section. This mission brought together 15 international laboratories as part of an unprecedented intercalibration exercise aimed at quantifying and reducing the uncertainty in nutrient measurements in order to improve the quality of the data integrated into global databases.
This workshop will not only provide an opportunity to debrief the results obtained during the oceanographic voyage, but will also be a forum for scientists to share their expertise and propose best practices that can be adopted and implemented by all oceanographic institutions.
Registration
The workshop is open to all scientists involved in measuring nutrients in seawater from sampling to data submission to international databases.
The event is free but we have a limited room capacity. The organisation committee reserves the right to accept or refuse a registration.
